In Accra, Nana Ampong joined the Kwame Anokye Toku Band, beginning a remarkable journey that would see him perform alongside some of Ghana’s most respected highlife legends. Over the years, he had the privilege of playing with renowned musicians and bands including Professor Kofi Abraham, Nana Kwame Ampadu, and J.A. Adofo. He also performed with various cover bands like Classic Band, showcasing his versatility and ability to entertain audiences with different styles of music while keeping the spirit of Ghanaian music alive.

Nana Ampong is not only an accomplished guitarist and singer but also a gifted songwriter, with more than 30 original songs to his name. His music reflects his life experiences, creativity, and deep connection to Ghanaian culture.

His understanding of Ghanaian culture is also reflected in the way he plays and sings.
